Group Services for America's Blood Centers Creates
Three-Year IT Strategy With Lunexa
IT Strategy Aims to Enhance Group Services for Member
Blood Centers
SAN FRANCISCO, CA and WASHINGTON, DC --
(MARKET WIRE) -- November 29, 2006 -- Lunexa, LLC, a provider
of advisory and implementation IT services, and Group Services
for America's Blood Centers (GSABC), a cooperative wholly
owned by America's Blood Centers (ABC), today announced that
Lunexa has successfully created the three-year IT strategy for
GSABC. The strategy has been designed to enhance GSABC's
technology infrastructure for the benefit of its nationwide
member blood centers.
Lunexa consultants worked with the team at GSABC,
representatives from member blood centers and suppliers to the
blood centers to develop an IT strategy that would help GSABC
achieve its strategic business objectives and goals. These
goals include enhancing GSABC's relationship with member blood
centers and suppliers while increasing the purchase volume by
blood centers that leverage GSABC-structured contracts. In a
short, three-month period, Lunexa consultants interviewed over
20 different individuals from the different groups and also
evaluated the ability of over 15 different technology vendors
to meet a broad range of business requirements discovered
during the interviews.
"Lunexa has helped us define a three-year IT strategy,
which will help us continue to strengthen our relationships
with member centers," said GSABC's President Jerome Haarmann.
"This engagement is an important part of our mission to serve
as an information resource for members, by offering a
portfolio of agreements that provide quality products and
services at the lowest possible cost."
"We're proud to be working with GSABC, an organization
serving North America's largest network of non-profit,
community blood centers," said Jagrit Malhotra, a managing
partner for Lunexa. "Lunexa has evaluated dozens of IT
solutions on GSABC's behalf, as well as analyzed the needs of
its suppliers and member centers, in order to recommend a
comprehensive IT architecture to achieve the organization's
goals."
